What a fun mama you are. How wonderful that it’s in a tote so you can put a lid on it and store it away to pull out later. And, those beautiful blonde girls don’t look like they could ever give you a hard time…ever πŸ™‚

I love that they appear so innocent. Beneath those cherubic heads of blonde are master negotiators and tactical warfare specialists. They’re lovely most of the time, but watch out if you poke the bear(s)!

But the tote aspect of the sensory box is pretty awesome. I love that I can seal it all up and put it away. πŸ™‚

My daughter would LOVE this. She just dug in someone else’s sandbox over the weekend and won’t stop talking about it. We need to do this!!

You’ll have to let me know if you do this, Adrianne! The girls dragged the boxes out again today and played with them for almost an hour. I’m stoked!

Oh, you should, Amber! I can’t believe how much play we’ve gotten out of it already! πŸ™‚

I love this Tara! I have one of these in my Kindergarten classroom… it is filled with rice and white beans as the base so that all the seasonal stuff “pops” out… it is such a fabulous play-based learning tool PLUS it is so calming for the kids to run their hands through it all. With 22 kids in there we need a little calm in our day:)

You must be FULL of fantastic ideas for learning at home! I should pick your brain!

I’ve considered doing beans and rice too – maybe we will do that if we need to “switch it up”. I ended up digging out another box and letting the girls have two sensory boxes. It was much easier than having the two girl negotiate who would have THIS purple shell and THAT plastic pig. We’ll work on sharing in another activity. πŸ˜‰

LOVE your sensory bin. There’s something so magical about starfish, shells and glass beads. I keep wanting to make a sensory box, I just haven’t gotten to it yet, but this was quite the inspiration. Pinning!
