Oh, I’m totally putting new makeup brushes on my Christmas list!! Somehow I don’t think I’m supposed to be thinking of myself, but my husband always gets frustrated that I never ask for anything specific! Love drugstores for quick shopping!

Oh, the makeup brush makes ALL the difference. I’m telling you, since I started using a foundation brush, it’s completely changed how I put it on!

(Sounds foolish, but in the end, you use WAY less makeup on your face, because your fingers/sponge don’t grab it all up before you apply it)

I did half my post Christmas shopping for myself at SDM with my insane Optimum points. We used to live downtown and I swear I would walk into SDM for one item and leave $100 later. They were also the only store near us that sold Dior Addict and that’s one of my fav’s so I am all about perfume. 🙂

Oh, I hear you, Alex. I walk into the cosmetics section and I’m suddenly like, ‘Oh, this is a nice colour…” and “I could use a new eyeliner…”

How awesome that you had that many Optimum points, though! I will have to check my balance, ASAP!

Me too, Barbara! They’re my old faithful gifts – if I’m ever stumped, I just pick up one of their kits and I know that the receiver will love it!

(I’ve been eyeing the Quo makeup kits this year, too)

Love that eye sampler kit too! My favorite mascara is stimulash and now it seems they don’t carry it anymore. I guess I’ll have to try a new one!

      Oh no!

Well… I’m going to ask – have you ever tried the Smashbox mascara? That’s my absolute favourite mascara out there.

Oh, Karen – she’ll love it! I honestly haven’t gifted it to someone who didn’t love it. I think it’s because it’s a bit indulgent, but also allows the receiver to pick their favourite (as it should be with makeup)!

We have a Shoppers Drug Mart up the street from our house and I’m always in there – ours has the pharmacy and the groceries too, it’s great! I’ll have to look for that Eye Studio Sampler set, wow that looks like it would be a great gift (like, to me!). Thanks Tara!!

That’s a great idea! Any way to help the budget! And Shoppers has gotten so big over the past few years – you can find tonnes of stuff, there!

That reminds me… I need to check my point balance!

Holy smack dab, I had no idea about the kits. PS… I originally typed KIDS LOL.. now that would have been funny (and I’d have some explaining to do.)

I lurve Shoppers Drug Mart, I’m going there today(thanks for the hot tips!!!!)

We live in the countryside near a small town with a Shoppers Drug Mart. It’s my fave spot. It’s like going to a night club around here. My country girl version of entertainment. D’ best. xx

I love it! Nothing like a taste of “big city” in your small country town! (And I love that Shoppers is starting to carry the big names in make-up – so much easier than going to the department stores!)

You MUST check out the kits. I love them and gift them regularly!

That mascara kit NEEDS to be under my tree. Even if I put it there myself!

I’m lucky to work downtown and there are like 3 Shoppers within a five minute walk. I will find that kit, so help me!

Thanks for sharing the great ideas!

    Cheers,
