Wow! What a great twist on a Canadian Classic! This looks so very yummy and I love curry combined with potatoes. I find that the flavours are a perfect compliment to each other! Thank you so much for the great inspiration!

Thank you so much, Angie! Potatoes and curry are SUCH a good combo. Add some cheese, and I’m sold!

Amy – poutine is SO Canadian; you have to try it! It’s really so yummy. Typically, it’s made with gravy and cheese curds on fries, but I actually prefer the butter chicken version.

I love cheese curds! They aren’t a staple in US grocery stores like they are in Canada but there is a cheese factory on the coast about 1.5 hours from my home and we always stock up on them when we go. Seriously. So yummy. Like crack. Anyway, I’ve never seen a recipe using them before (we always just eat them straight) – I’m definitely pinning this to use the next time we stock up on squeaky cheese!

I love that you call it “squeaky cheese”, Carissa! Seriously – this is SO good. It’s so funny how recipes become so regional. Poutine is SUCH a good comfort food dish. Let me know if you try it!

My husband has many co-workers in Canada and they often tell him about poutine. I have to say your photos look MUCH better than what I had pictured in my head! I would love to try your version.
