So awesome and amazing to see such comradery and initiative, I love it and it is so cool to see all of the bloggers online meeting up in person and sharing. Good for you, you should be very pleased and proud, can’t wait to watch it grow! PS, sunglasses on your head, isn’t that exactly where they go? 😉

Well, in this house, yes, sunglasses are constantly perched on top of my head. I can’t believe that I didn’t notice! Gah! But yes, it was truly a lovely night of great conversation, lovely nibbles and wine, and beautiful and inspiring women. I’m still in disbelief that we pulled it off!

Oh, I’d love to go to one of these. Is Alberta the West Coast- ha! There are enough of us around here to do something like this, I’m sure. Way to follow your dreams!

Way to make your dreams happen Tara! If only I lived on the West Coast, I’d be there in a heartbeat. Connecting IRL with online friends is always fun and inspiring.

You’re one of the Goddesses of Connecting, Jen. I am truly inspired by all that you do with BlogPodium and all of the blood, sweat – and no doubt – tears that go on behind that. If there is ever a chance, I’d love to craft with you, lady. Maybe that could be a reality one day.

What a lovely group to be a part of! I seriously wish we had something like that here, but right now I just don’t have it in me to start one of our own. With blogging, working full-time, and helping open DeBoop Shop on Etsy next month, I have more than enough on my plate.

Oh, and thanks for the list of blogs! We’ve been wanting to find some new ones to add to our daily reads. 🙂

It’s true – you have to pick the right time. But maybe after you’re established, you could start something in order to gather a group of creative-types. It’s so inspiring to be around such a great force of creative women… you don’t even realize the energy that surrounds you until you leave and your body is still humming.

It was definitely a labour of love, but we’re so glad that it went smoothly. And how much fun would an Alberta group be? You have the girls out there!

I am especially excited to have have photographed your very first gathering because I will be able to look back when you are wildly successful and speaking to auditoriums full of eager bloggers and will say “look, I was there when it all started”. xoxo

I got a little sappy reading this post, I’m so jealous you ladies could all get together and bond over a craft and wine. The event looked perfect! What a perfect location to host your event. Good job! (clapping from the sidelines)

Sounds like an awesome event – wish I could have been there! I love this post – we are all so creative and probably have so many great ideas that we talk ourselves out of too many times. Very inspiring!

Awww… thank you, Dani. It’s true, though, we often talk ourselves out of ideas by saying, “if only…” or “Like that would ever happen…”

I’m completely guilty of this, too. I talk myself out of things all of the time.

I would love to meet you one day, Dani! I think we would have so much to talk about!

I’m so thankful that I was asked to be a part of the evening. I have never been inspired so much by one small group of people. The creative energy was amazing and the space was just a reflection of Erin. I could listen to her talk all day. My favourite words from her were, “If I was going to be broke, I was going to be broke on my terms”…and so her business was born. It was also reassuring to know that that feeling of being terrified is so prevalent among creative folk. It’s what keeps us going…what inspires. What a night…so many stories! Thank you.

Eleanor, your own story was one that resonated with me too. It was such a great night full of fantastic people. I left feeling so good… I think I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

And yes, the knowledge that most people are scared out of their minds when they take on a venture? It was reassuring to know that we aren’t alone. 🙂
