Oh, my gang was in heaven making puppets. They were so sad when we had to clean up.

Awww, I love it! We’ve only just been using plain socks for puppets right now.

That takes considerably more imagination when they don’t even have eyes. 😛 Like maybe it’s a little too much of a stretch. My daughter just makes them say hello, and nothing else. These are adorable, maybe I should invest in more of a kit. 😛

These puppets had some pretty big roaring competitions… and then they proceeded to try to eat each other. I love that R can just use a sock to make a puppet though. My kidlets get very fussy over the details… so the kits were perfect for us!

Puppet shows are quite common around here these days! And we still have a few puppet kids that I’ve slipped away! I’m only hounded about them every second day. 😛

Apparently, that’s how puppets talk? Roaring and occasionally manhandling each other? Very strange, this puppet-communication…

It was such a great craft for the kidlets. They loved that they were making everything themselves…

We haven’t gotten that far in our summer yet… but when the sun is really high, we do march back into the house. I’ll burn in minutes. #vampireskin

These puppets are brilliant. What a great activity for the children to make and play with afterwards. As a former teacher these would also be fabulous for the classroom!

Great point, Thea! These would be great for the classroom! I love how the kids’ “creative touches” made each puppet look a bit unique. And of course, that’s the part they liked the most – the fact that they made the puppets themselves. 🙂

I think our five year olds are very similar. Lila had such a blast with these puppets; she loves this kind of crafting!
