Thank you so much, Jo-Anna! It’s getting there. Just a new couch, rug, and a Fireplace Fairy Godmother next! πŸ˜‰

Oh, the salted oak is such a lovely colour of wood.

What kind of console do you have? I’m going to have to go back and take a look at your space…

Such a cute piece! It does the trick to take your eye away from the mantel.

It is a really lovely piece of furniture. Maybe I can find an old piece of wood to match it – and then hang it as a mantel when the hubby’s away. πŸ˜‰

Oh, thank you, Donna. I made a couple of those signs from the old fence boards… one of them lives in my neighbour’s house right now! I can’t help myself – I’m cranking them out every time I open a pint of paint!

Hmmm – I’m not good at working with fireplaces, but I like when people have vases or something on the floor on either side. My mom does that and it looks really pretty!

That entertainment center looks great, by the way!

That’s a good idea – trying to work with it, instead of totally distracting from it? I’ll do some looking on Pinterest. Thanks, Amy!

What a difference a piece of furniture makes! I love it! As far as your fireplace goes, I think you did a great job with the decor as is!

Thank you so much, Bette! I find the arrow is a real focal point too. I’ve gotten some compliments from guests. πŸ™‚
