Oh man. So cute! And you I am just going to have to spread the word for all the owners of the machine that is currently on my Christmas list. The cards I could make. Sigh.

We need to get you a machine, Alex. You would be a crafting tornado! (Especially since you can cut fabric and felt with it!)

You can make your own blocks? With a saw? If so… I am impressed. I just buy mine. 🙂

I actually bought a block ornament on Etsy a few years ago… and I loved it so much that I had to try to create my own. Now I feel like I’m going to be making tons of these!

Fabulous idea, Tanya! Wouldn’t that be great to make a yearly ornament with each years’ photo of a kidlet? Griffin’s birthdate is on the other side of the ornament – I like the idea of it being dated. 🙂

      Oh most definitely~

She sent me a text earlier tonight. Said something like “we need to get more blades and supplies and Kayla and I will be there this weekend” Now we will see if she follows through, but today she was totally gung ho after seeing what is possible. What I would Love is to see her get hooked like we are so I have a partner in crime to create with! It’s just not as much fun to do alone sometimes.

Oh, I hope that you guys have your big “cuttin’ party”! I think that you should definitely try to get her hooked. I convinced a girlfriend to get a Silhouette and now we’re always sending each other texts of what we’ve created.

Does she have her own machine?

No she doesn’t have one yet. But then again, if she did we wouldn’t get this much needed mnother daughter time. My youngest daughter has a Cricut, so I think the three of us need to do some crafting together. Wouldn’t that be so fun!?! Get all the kids in on it and look out! haha!

Thanks, Dani. It’s funny that you say that, because Griffin’s mama does collect ornaments every year for her kids. I think that one year, I’m going to just bust out my crafty oomph, and make a slew of personalized ornaments for the kiddos in my life.

While I pinned this project earlier in the week, it has clearly taken me FOREVER to actually come on over and read this. (Oh, the shame.) But it’s as fabulous as I expected. Thanks for the free cut file, woman! And I love the papers you chose for decorating those wooden blocks. Such a great gift idea for a baby’s first Christmas! (I’ll be looking out for those wooden blocks during my next Hobby Lobby run, thankyouverymuch.)

Thanks for participating in our December Challenge & Giveaway! You rock.

Oh, buy a bunch of those blocks, Lauren. Ever since I’ve discovered them, suddenly, their uses are popping up everywhere (in my brain, on Pinterest, etc). Plus, they’re cheap.

And Mel, from Mellywood’s Mansion, turned me onto a great idea. Buy 2×2 wood and just cut it into 2″ blocks. Ultra-cheap wooden blocks.

Definitely doing that once my life calms down!
